Our society loves and adores dogs. In the United States alone, it is estimated that there are 70-80 million household dogs. That means over a third of all homes own a dog, which is pretty remarkable. There is no other species on Earth as bonded to us and our daily lives than our dog. We cherish their friendship. Regardless of what the day may bring, when we come home they greet us with a big grin and wagging tail. Dogs are truly man’s (or woman’s) best friend. However, something is wrong with our current relationship with dogs.
